Totally yummy full rack of Very meaty ribs, French fries, and BBQ beans! The place was charming and the staff friendly, too. Well worth a trip from the Twin Cities to enjoy the experience!!! Update: We returned to J&J BBQ & Catering and the food was better than I remembered. Our meal tasted great and was an excellent value at under 38 dollars; despite being really hungry we had leftovers to take home. I recommend taking cash for their “tip jar” or leaving it on the table for their hard working and cheerful staff (there was no place on the credit receipt to leave a tip).

One of the best bbq joints I've been to. The sausage dinner is great. The ribs are awesome. Dry rub as they should be. Add your house made sauce at the table.

It was only a week ago that we were here for the first time. Had ribs and catfish. Loved it so much that we drove 3-1/2 hours back down here last night so we could have another meal here. I love ribs, I've tried them all over. These are the best! Better than anything I found in the south. We just had ribs and wings, the wings are now my favorite wings. I'm going to have to buy a house nearby. Finished eating and now enjoying a glass of Rye in the bar. I've never seen such a selection of whiskey! Julie was awesome both times , the bartender treated us like royalty. Love this place. Update, three times now, mmm

We stumbled on this gem of a place and it is worth going out of your way for! The ribs were fall of the bone tender and delicious, chicken juicy and flavorful, all of the sides were great too! We almost tried to get everything on the menu and ate it all! Plenty of dining area, prompt cordial service. Why you’re here make sure to check out grandpas saloon in the back, and they will bring your food to you back there!

All around great BBQ; we're yet to have a bad meal here. We live about an hour from here and it is certainly worth the trip. Meats are tender, fall off the bone style BBQ. If you are a sauce fan, they have great ones to choose from. We came in as a large group (12) for lunch and we were able to order quickly. Food came in a reasonable amount of time. There is a full bar on the premises, if you care to partake. Lots of seating, old signage on the walls, and delicious BBQ.

The BBQ is actually good. Not the usual disappointment of Midwest BBQ. Not dry. The BBQ chicken was smokey, moist, and falling off the bone. Brisket was awesome. Didn’t try ribs but by the looks of it, they’re good too. The pork skins were fresh if and crackling when brought to the table. Melt in your mouth. Paired sauce was perfect. A sort of chipotle mayo that was mild and flavorful. The beer in Grandpa’s Saloon was great accompaniment and they bring the food to you there.
